Day One Android, Windows, and Web apps allow you to add a cover image to your journals, which will be displayed as a background in the header of your journal. Cover images added on Android will be visible on Web\/Windows, and vice versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Journal Cover Images are not currently available on the iOS or macOS apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding a cover image<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When viewing a journal, tap the 3 dots (‘kebab’) menu, then either “Select cover image” (to select an image from your media library) or “Take cover image” (to take a picture with your camera).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select an image (or take a photo) and then crop the image to your liking. Tap the checkmark to save and you’ll see the new cover image behind the title of your journal.<\/p>\n\n\n

Remove cover image<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After adding a cover image, if you tap the 3 dots menu again, you’ll see a new Remove cover image<\/strong> option. Tap that to remove your cover image and the journal’s default colored header will be restored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To add a cover image in the Windows\/Web app, select a journal in the sidebar, then click on Edit Journal > Add Cover Image<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select an image from your computer, and it will be used as your journal’s cover image. (Note: There is currently no cropping feature on the Windows\/Web app).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remove cover image<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To remove the cover image, click on Edit Journal > Remove Cover Image<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
