In order to add your location to your entries, you first need to enable Location Services<\/a> on your device if you haven’t already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have enabled Location Services you can optionally enable your location (including a map) to be added to your new entries automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iOS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Go to Settings > Journals > [tap a journal] > Advanced > Auto Add Location.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

macOS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Go to Day One > Settings > General<\/em> and make sure the option to Auto Add Location<\/em> is enabled. (Note: on macOS this is a global setting and can’t be enabled\/disabled per journal)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Android<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Go to Settings > Journals > [tap a journal] > Advanced > Auto Add Location.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Web<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Go to Settings > Journals > [tap a journal] > Advanced > Auto Add Location.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turning off Auto add location<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you no longer want the location and map to be added to your new entries, turn the Auto add location setting off, as described above, and then disable location services<\/a> in your device settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
