The date can be adjusted to anytime past, present, or future in Day One. This allows you to retroactively create past entries from memory or using photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While editing an entry, tap the date at the top. Use the Calendar to change the date or use the options below the calendar to set the date\/time. There is an option to set an entry to “All-day”. Please note that there is currently no way to type the desired date on iOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or tap the map at the bottom to open the Entry Info\/Metadata view<\/a>. Then tap the Date field to edit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using photos to set the date and location of the entry is also an option in the Metadata view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Can I type the desired date to easily search for an older date?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    You can achieve this when using the following platforms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. macOS: Click on the date at the top of the entry. You should be able to type in the desired date directly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Web App: Click on the date at the top of the entry. You can then type in the date you wish to set for the entry.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
