As of version <strong>2025.5<\/strong>, both iOS and Mac support text formatting with <strong>strikethrough<\/strong> and <strong>underline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note about custom fonts:<\/strong><br>If you&#8217;re using a custom font in your Appearance settings, you may experience a limitation of the font you&#8217;re using. Some custom fonts don\u2019t include an italic variant, so italicized words will appear in bold instead. This will save\/sync the entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dayoneapp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/dismisskeyboard.png?w=780&#038;quality=80&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Done<\/strong> button closes the entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dayoneapp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Donetocloseentry.png?w=780&#038;quality=80&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_8d96f44667\">&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To disable spelling highlights and autocorrect on an iPhone or iPad:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the <strong>Settings<\/strong> app (not the Day One app settings).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to <strong>General<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap <strong>Keyboard<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toggle off the following options as needed:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Auto-Correction<\/strong> \u2013 disables automatic word corrections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Check Spelling<\/strong> \u2013 removes the red underline for misspelled words.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>These settings can be re-enabled at any time if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-styling-formatted-text\">Styling formatted text<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is currently no way to apply different styles to formatted text.
