Reminders do not currently sync between devices. Each device will need to set up reminders individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ios\">iOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three reminder types for Day One iOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Daily Reminder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Custom Reminders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Text Messaging (<em>available in Premium subscription, USA only<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_5fd1cd638b\">Daily Reminder<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable the <strong>Daily Reminder<\/strong>, go to <em>Day One > Settings > Reminders > Notifications > Daily Reminder<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dayoneapp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/ScreenShot2021-03-11at10.33.47AM.png?w=780&#038;quality=80&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once Daily Reminder is turned on, specifics can be adjusted in the <strong>Details<\/strong> section, including the time of the reminder (exact time, or a random time within a specified range), the journal to which the entry will be posted, and optional tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-custom-reminders\">Custom Reminders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the standard Daily Reminder, additional custom reminders can be set up by tapping <em>New Reminder<\/em>. You can have a custom message appear, choose the time, recurrence, to which journal the entry will post, tags, and templates. <strong>Please note that currently, yearly reminders are not an option.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the reminder appears in your notifications, tap on it to load the entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Templates are loaded into the entry when you tap the reminder as it appears or tap the reminder in the <\/em><em><a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT201925\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Notification Screen<\/a><\/em><em> on iOS.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_073fff487f\">Text Messaging<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting in version 6.0, Premium subscribers can set up Text Messaging reminders. This is currently available in USA and Canada. When the text is received, simply reply in Messages to create a new Day One entry. Click to enable reminders and then click the + icon to create a new reminder.
