An example of data loss would be when you write an entry, close the app, reopen the app, and find that the previously written entry is nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"day-one-20-and-later-on-ios-or-mac\">Day One  and later on iOS or Mac<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"day-one-sync\">Day One Sync<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our best backup method is Day One Sync. If you are using Day One Sync, please sign in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dayone.me\">web app<\/a> and click &#8220;all entries&#8221;. Do you see the expected entry count there? If not, please see the options below or contact <a href=\"https:\/\/dayoneapp.com\/contact\/\">support<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-entry-version-history-ios-android-mac\">Entry Version History (iOS, Android, Mac)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>With Day One Sync enabled, Day One automatically saves entries as you write. If previous versions of your entries were saved via Day One sync, you may be able to restore by checking the revision history. These will include text and photos.
