Access to Day One can be protected with an app-locking password. Keep in mind, this password does not sync between devices. It can be a different password for each device. The app-locking passcode should not be confused with the account password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mac<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The app-locking password for Day One on Mac is securely stored in the Keychain Access app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Quit Day One<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  2. Open Keychain Access*.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  3. Search for “day one”. <\/span><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  4. Control-click (or right-click) Day One App Locking Password<\/i> to reveal a contextual menu.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  5. Select Delete \u201cDay One App Locking Password\u201d<\/i>.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  6. Return to Day One to open it without your previously-set password.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    iOS\/Android<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    There are 3 possible options to reset the app-locking passcode on iOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. The easiest solution is to try and remember the passcode. Maybe spend a while guessing possible combinations.<\/b> <\/span><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    2. If you have Touch ID\/Face ID or an Android fingerprint enabled for Day One but can’t remember the passcode, here are the steps to remove the passcode: <\/b><\/p>\n
