In order to use Day One Sync, an account is required. You can create an account with an email and password, or you can use Apple ID<\/a> to sign in. Be sure to sign in with the same credentials on all devices in order to sync your data. <\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is how to set up your Day One account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

iOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open Day One ><\/i> tap on Sign In<\/i><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  2. At the bottom of the Sign In page, tap on Need an account? Sign up<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  3. Enter your email address (Continue with Email) or choose Sign up with Apple ID<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  4. If you entered your email, follow the instructions in the email<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  5. If you chose Apple ID, you are signed in using the credentials stored in your device Settings. This is secure. See here<\/a> how we use Apple ID to sign in.<\/p> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Web<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Go to https:\/\/dayone.me<\/a> and click on Don’t have an account? Create one<\/u><\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Follow the prompts to use the Email address to set up your account. Alternatively, you may continue with Google or Apple to sign up with Google or Apple credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Windows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    On the initial login page, click on Don’t have an account? Create one<\/u><\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Follow the prompts to use the Email address to set up your account. Alternatively, you may continue with Google or Apple to sign up with Google or Apple credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    macOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. From the menu bar, Day One > Settings > Sync<\/i><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    2. Click Sign In<\/i><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

      <\/p>On the Day One Sign In pop-up window, click Other Options. At the bottom of the screen, click Create new account. You’ll be taken to https:\/\/dayone.me\/signup where you can create a new account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    4. Follow the prompts to create a new account using the email address, or choose to sign up with Apple.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Android<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      On Day One Android, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n

      1. Open Day One ><\/i> Settings (Profile icon on top right corner) > Account (Sign In). <\/em><\/i>Select “Create new account…”<\/em><\/i><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n

      2. Enter your email address to sign up with Day One account. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Confirm your account by clicking on the confirmation link sent to your email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Once you confirm, you will be taken to a web page where you can add a password to your account and complete signing up. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        If you want to sign into your other devices, go to app.dayone.me\/settings<\/i><\/a> > Sign in with your Google account <\/i>> Click Add Password<\/i>. You can then sign into Day One on your devices using your Google email address and password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
