Day One’s On This Day<\/a> feature is a great way to re-read entries and relive the moments you’ve captured. Quickly reminisce about where you’ve been, review photos you’ve taken, and read the entries you’ve written on a day over the years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, On This Day view is available on iOS, macOS, and Android apps. On This Day view is not available on Web or Windows apps yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With v.2025.6<\/a>, we\u2019ve introduced two new tabs\u2014Journals<\/strong> and More<\/strong>\u2014to simplify navigation. Click on the More tab<\/strong> with three dots on the bottom right corner to access On This Day view:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a larger focus on memory-keeping, On This Day surfaces more of your past moments in a cleaner, more immersive layout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

You can access entries from any date as well using the Calendar view<\/a> and tapping the date. Long-press any date in the Calendar to see options for On This Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tap any date in Calendar to open the Today view. On This Day is at the bottom of the Today view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On This Day notifications can be adjusted in Day One > Settings > On This Day<\/em>. Specific journals can be enabled\/disabled here. The reminder time can be selected. The list notification can be enabled\/disabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

macOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is a new On This Day option in the Journal pane on Mac. Click this when you have entries here to view them in the right pane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And On This Day can be accessed by Filter as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Android<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can access On This Day<\/em> by tapping More<\/em> tab on the right bottom corner of the Day One App. You can also access entries and On This Day using the Calendar view<\/a> and tapping the date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To view the entries you’ve created on this day in years past, follow the steps below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Tap on either the Sidebar<\/em> button or the More<\/em> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. From either place, you can access On This Day.
    <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    You can also receive a notification each day, letting you know if you have entries in On This Day. To turn this notification on or off, head to Day One <\/em>> Settings<\/em> > Reminders<\/em> > On This Day<\/em>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
